Story

Every car has a story. Every driver has a relationship with it. “VW et Moi” was a series of intimate portraits of real Volkswagen drivers and the cars that have accompanied them through the defining chapters of their lives. 

The campaign introduces us to Francois and Maya, among others. Not as demographics or consumer profiles but as specific people with specific memories. The car is not the hero. The life lived alongside it is. Shot with observational restraint and realistic texture, the campaign underlines Volkswagen’s cars as lifelong companions. 

The result is a series of portraits that work less like advertising than like the opening pages of a novel: you recognise something in someone you have never met.
