Volkswagen didn’t just unveil a new electric model. The brand resurrected a legend. The iconic nickname “the Ant,” long associated with the Polo’s robustness and reliability in France, returned to guide the bold launch of the new ID. Polo. Rather than announcing the car outright, the brand leaned into nostalgia and curiosity, using this cherished symbol to connect generations.

But the Ant isn’t just a nod to the past. It drove the campaign. For several days, it appeared mysteriously (in LinkedIn bios, fan groups, and Instagram posts) sparking conversations and speculation. The mystery was finally revealed through a digital film showing that behind the Ant stood the ID. Polo, the perfect bridge between the heritage of a classic and the promise of a fully electric future.
